High Noon
 
 
An empty street
in the heat of noon.
High the relentless sun.
 
The VILLAIN soon
will appear with his gun.
 
In the shade to face
him eye to eye
the SHERIFF waits.
He is ready to die
as his LOVE will not greet.
 
He patiently lingers
and holds to fight
near to the holsters his fingers.
He represents the RIGHT.
 
Two SHOTS and a cry
disturb the blazing heat.
Who was to die?
 
The hidden onlookers appear
to get their share
of excitement after their fear.
Eagerly they stare
at the CORPSE in the street.
