LIKE A GYPSY STAR COMET

I was upset by violent love,
ablaze and tormented,
and I found myself 
at the mercy of events.
So, my heart strayed without aim,
like a gypsy star comet,
until the breath of life,
lost its cruel nature
and a gentle breeze evolved
into a honeydew malmsey,
evocative of the glow
of a cradle of blooms.
