The Turtle and the Frog

Keha, the turtle, in tranquil glee
She lived a life of serenity
For many years without a care
With Gnaske, a frog beyond compare

He was her dearest, closest friend
With whom sweet dreams she'd often blent
They chatted endlessly day and night
By the lake, on a rock, bathed in moonlight

One day came a rain, so fierce and wild
'I'll catch a cold, ' she said, beguiled
'I must not stay and risk my health
Although such things are rare in stealth

I'd rather be safe than sorry, you see
Let's swiftly escape, just you and me! '
Before they got soaked, wet and wetter
They both leapt into the water together
