Justyna Stanisz

Hey, you with your head held high!

What makes you think that you are better?
Your pedestal is breaking but it doesn’t matter.
I doubt it’s your lack of intelligence
but at least it helps you to ignore the blood on your hands.

Who do you think you are, Zeus maybe?
Throwing your lightning on us when you are angry.
Sitting on the top of your Olympus, whereas we sit in the dirt.
You are even too high to see us, here down on earth.

Fighting back tears that
already dropped down
and opened my wounds.
Once I wanted to trust you, now I regret.

I know, high up there it’s easy to ignore.
But tell me, aren’t you already bored?
And don’t you feel alone sometimes as we do?
Don’t feelings matter to you?

Oh yes, you are always right.
But it’s just cause of your might.
And who exactly gives you the right
to look down on us and guide?
Now you forgot that we actually have the right to fight.

What makes you think that you are better?
Your pedestal is breaking but it doesn’t matter.
I doubt it’s your lack of intelligence
but at least it helps you to ignore the blood on your hands.
Believe me, one day you’ll fall down cause of losing your balance.
