TOGETHER
TOGETHER WE UNFOLD
OUR WOUNDED WINGS,
TOGETHER WE PURSUE OUR IDEALS,
TOGETHER WE FOLLOW THE SEA OF LIFE,
TOGETHER WE REACH OUR TARGETS,
TOGETHER, TOGETHER WE STRUGGLE FOR OUR SKY.

Alone you have to unfold your wings,
Alone to pursue your ideals,
Alone to follow the sea of life.
Alone, alone to struggle for your sky.
(My translation of a poem: Georg Herwegh, 1817 – 1875)
I arranged my poem TOGETHER in 1995, inspired by Herwegh’s poem.
