The Enlightened One

Like every year at the solstice,
the day has got its face,
bring a thousand pilgrim hands to the Buddha,
flowers, to the honour of nature,
the night has taken away their dream,
before the resurrection,
Sunbeams break his golden face,
the soul is very dazed
between good and evil,
humiliating to the doorstep of the temple gate,
in being and in passing.

From dark spaces, sounds to the enlightened One
a priest's choir in front of the gates of heaven,
now they are standing in the temple before your celestial wheel,
with flowers fragrant Frangipani, full of hands.
Forgive the spirit for not recognizing you,
well mind has burned the earth,
directed according to merits and all the deeds.

Oh, that yet only a drop of Thy wisdom
to return to man again:
Om mani padme hum
Oh, you gemstone in the lotus blossom!
My gemstone on a ribbon,
to the glory of my heart.
