Love's seasons
I feel lonely, cold and sad,
an icy wind around my head,
winter’s frost inside my heart
because we are so far apart.
The world outside is dying
and my soul keeps crying.
There’s one thing I know for sure:
Without you I can’t live anymore.
But inside of me patience is growing
and soon the melt waters are flowing,
giving free my feelings’ home,
spring now starts again to roam.
Summertime, my favourite season,
to be happy there is reason,
for st. valentine’s could be everyday
as long as you are with me on my way.
The summer ends, the time is shrinking,
to see you longer is wishful thinking,
but summer will return again,
so I say “I love you” until then.
