Retour Infernal

Tu n’as pas changé! Cette fois-ci tu dois me retenir

English Version

A trip home

Good morning homeland Sierra Leone
Do you remember that infernal separation?
I only had my young little feet to flee
And my brave mother to protect me

I almost forgot you, what did you become friend for life?
I was only ten, fatal remembrance
O homeland Sierra Leone! I am whipping upon your sufferance
Let me kiss you and my feet explore your lost beauty

I kept distant from your breath of freshness
And singing tropical birds at the oval horizon
From Freetown to Makeni, let me contemplate you
We did not change much! Hold me back if you can

I was in Canada, no shortage of mineral although
There, streets are bigger even in the countryside
O Motherland! Are your infants always ready to leave ?
Me, I am coming back with a gift of hope to get you rise again.
