Elle avait cent ans
Et, ô mystérieux pouvoir
Tel l'homme qui sait boire
Elle pouvait percevoir, en un instant

Soporifique du monotone
Comme la nonne
Sagement attendant
N'importe quoi, n'importe comment

Le rivet de la solitude
Ciment du silence
Plainte de la multitude
Dévoilant sa souffrance

Symbolique de la mélancolie
Résonnante musicologie
La chaise se résignait à ne plus bouger
Comme un objet de pitié
